This web log is about a search for the everlasting blue paint from Byzantine church murals. Legends says it is made from four elements, three of which are known, and the Fourth, secret element of the “Byzantine blue”, gives that special nuance of blue used by medieval Byzantine icon painters. Legends goes, that the Fourth Element is the key to eternity, the very key that every mortal is longing for.
